Absolute garbage!
It is lightweight simple music player. Next button doesn't work....! 8.2/10
It works smoothly and based on FOSS ideology.This is the best music player on play store and f-droid.Only problem is it can not play m4a downloaded from newpipe,it gets crashed. Hope it will be fixed soon.
Add (Most Played) Music please
Please add option to exclude audio files that are less than a user-specified length of time, such as less than 60 seconds. All of my Ringtones are in the music list and I don't want to see or play them.
Sadly shuffle functionality is just a pipe dream and a lie. This app shuffles whatever album a given track is from, rather than shuffling the playlist like it should. The rest of the app is 10/10, just brought down by this bizarre issue. To repeat: the app cannot shuffle a playlist. It will repeat random songs and occasionally bug out altogether. This is not an app you can use to listen to your music smoothly, it has MAJOR technical issues preventing smooth playback.
Poorly designed
Either the recent update to my original Pixel changed something at the OS level or the app has changed for the worse but I am unable to play more than one track, skip track doesn't work at all, and controls do not show up on the lock screen. I am having similar issues with other players like Vanilla Music while Google Play Music (which is awful) will play fine. If there was a change to Odyssey please put revert it back. I don't make playlists and I don't want intrusive bloated software. Select album and play all of it. Select a song and press play... Why is this so hard for so many music apps?
Thanks for your response. But I would like old functionalities. The new ones which I dislike are: (1) New version plays random files in different folders. Old version played files only within folder I tapped the first file. (2) While one file is being played, I need to double tap other file to make it play. And that results in 2 same files in current playlist. (3) Those 2 are weird features. I use this app only because it doesn't change my lock screen wallpaper. My Sony Music app works like a normal player. The only thing I don't like about the Sony Music app is: it changes my lock screen wallpaper while playing files. If you're not supporting normal behaviours (like most players) I would keep 1 star and find new app. I'm sorry.
